The UMaine New Writing Series wraps up its fall season of literary programming with a reading by poets Nancy Kuhl and Richard Deming. The reading will be on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 4:30pm in the Soderberg Auditorium, Jenness Hall, on the flagship campus of the UMaine system in Orono. This event is free & open to the public (though seating is limited).
RICHARD DEMING is the author of Let’s Not Call It Consequence (Shearsman 2008) and Listening on All Sides: Toward an Emersonian Ethic of Reading (Stanford 2008). He publishes Phylum Press with Nancy Kuhl and is a founding member of the Beinecke Library / Whitney Humanities Center Working Group in Contemporary Poetry and Poetics.
NANCY KUHL is the author of The Wife of the Left Hand (Shearsman 2007). She is Curator for Poetry of the Yale Collection of American Literature at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University and a founding member of the Beinecke Library / Whitney Humanities Center Working Group in Contemporary Poetry and Poetics. With Richard Deming she publishes Phylum Press.
