Joanne Kyger Set List

Here’s that set list we promised for Joanne Kyger’s reading in the NWS on 27 September 2007. The event report is here. The set list was patiently prepared by Katie Lattari (thanks, Katie!). Some titles approximate. Time values correlate to DVD duplicate.

Audience questions for Joanne Kyger [47:55]
1) Do you look for subjects for poetry or do they just find you?
2) Do you know Jack Kerouac?
3) Some of your poems are very conversational, like we’re hearing just one side of a conversation. I’m interested to know who the ‘other’ is.
4) How did your relationship with Gary Snyder affect your writing?
5) I like your reading style, and the way you frame your poems… when you approach a reading, do you have a sort of strategy you use? Do you gauge the audience?
6) What do you feel is the easiest way for you to write? Typing, handwriting…?
